Genesis 15 ↔ Hebrews 11:1

Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as "being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see." Genesis 15 powerfully illustrates this by showing Abram's faith. He believed God's promise of countless descendants (Genesis 15:5), even though he was childless and advanced in years (Genesis 15:2-3). This was a firm conviction in a future, unseen reality, which God counted as righteousness (Genesis 15:6).
