Straddling the isthmus between two harbors, Corinth was wealthy, diverse, and morally notorious. Paul spent eighteen months there and wrote at least two letters addressing its divisions and disorder (Acts 18). The ruins include the temple of Apollo and the bema where Paul stood before Gallio.
