Manna → The Bread from Heaven

Daily bread in the wilderness

The shadow (Old Testament)

Every morning in the wilderness, God rained down manna from heaven — small, white, sweet, and just enough for the day. Israel couldn't store it up for tomorrow; they had to go out and gather it fresh each morning (Exodus 16). The lesson was woven into the routine.

The substance (Christ)

Jesus takes the story and puts Himself at the center of it: "the true bread from heaven… the bread of God is He who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world" (John 6:32-35). Manna sustained physical life for a day. Christ gives life that never ends.

Take it in

You cannot live on yesterday's communion with Christ any more than Israel could live on yesterday's manna. Gather Him fresh today.
